SKN Motor starters are ruggedly constructed, totally enclosed and are fixed in cast iron frame for wall mounting.  Conduit holes are provided for cable entry from top and bottom. All incoming and outgoing terminals, conduit entries are easy accessible from top of the starter. An easily removable cover made of sheet metal completely enclosed the overload relays and connection terminals to ensure protection against dust and weather. There is provision for fitting pedestal Ammeter on the top of the starter. Oil tank, made of deep drawn sheet and fixed with the lower part of the cast iron frame. The tank can be easily removed by loosening round nuts from the left and right side. Part are easily accessible for cleaning, setting and replacement.

-SKN  The start knob [Green! to run the motor in 'STAR' position. When the motor has attained normal speed, press the run knob Yellow! to bring the motor to 'DELTA' position. Press stop knob [Red] to stop the motor. The contractor assembly is comprised of three nos.  Contactors - one for MAIN, one for STAR and one for DELTA circuit with interlocking arrangements The starter is conforming to IS : 13947 Part 4 Sec I 1993. All the three contractors are dipped in an oil chamber having double break robust copper contacts. The coil is machine wound taped, vacuum impregnated and backed to suit tropical conditions. Thermal bimetallic triple pole overload relay, accurately, calibrated to provide protection against overloads.

There is provision for fitting pedestal Ammeter on the top of starter.  Oil tank made of deep drawn sheet is fixed with the lower part of the cast iron frame, The tank can be easily removed by loosening nuts on the left and right hand sides. The enclosure is dust and Vermin Proof. Press the starter knob to run the motor in start position. It will automatically change over to DELTA by means of a timelag relay. The relay is adjustable within the range 3 to 12 seconds or 5 to 20 seconds marked as MIN-MAX. Rotate the time lag relay anti-clockwise to decrease and clock-wise to increase the time delay
